Intergenerational learning to face disinformation – DIGITOL launches online workshops

The first online workshop of Digitol project last 29 September was a great moment of mutual learning on how to prevent and address the spread of disinformation and fake news.

Discussions highlighted namely the importance of:

  • developing a learning platform enriched and updated constantly with new resources from actors involved in fighting misinformation;
  • spreading grassroots experience to create spaces open to host weekly initiatives, courses and events that promote digital inclusion and intergenerational learning.

You still have the opportunity to see our finding and participate in our next 4 online interactive workshops. You will learn some useful tools for facing misinformation in internet and social media through intergenerational cooperation.

DIGITOL used innovative intergenerational educational practices (digital academy and training program) and engaged older adults in non-formal education and co-created training opportunities.

Dates of the workshop :

Each workshop will be of 2 hour each with the following scheduling:

  • ROUND TABLE AND INTRODUCTION by AGE Platform Europe;
  • DIGITOL AND ITS METHODOLOGY: project presentation and results;
  • WARM UP QUIZ, an interactive session to learn how to face some common risk of the web: recognize fake news, avoid pishing, how to protect you privacy online and protect your data;
