Age management in the manufacturing sector: a new project kicks off

Promise Project

Underpinned by IndustriAll Europe’s campaigns, a new project was kicked off in Rome, Italy on April 10th 2025. The Promise project, acronym for “Promoting age management policies in Eastern European Countries through industrial relations: a focus on the manufacturing sector”, is co-funded by the DG Employment’s call SOCPL-2024-INFO-WK — Information and training measures for worker’s organisations, with the aim of enhance the resilience of the manufacturing sector through the well-being of its workers. 

A pool of European, Albanian; Georgian and Turkish partners, led the Italian trade union FIM-CISL, will work on tailored trainings on age management, addressed to trade unions at national and European level and based on the research work to be carried out by the partners KU Leuven and ADAPT. AGE Platform Europe will contribute its policy work and the insights of its Barometers, besides being in charge of a transnational training session in Brussels in 2026.
