Mentoring Across Borders (MAB) developed an intergenerational, cross-border mentoring programme occurring between older, experienced people (mentors, 50+) and young mentees (18-30y.o.) at risk of marginalization.

Results

  • Mentoring Platform: digital platform for mentors, mentees and mentoring hubs that would like to get involved in intergenerational, cross-border mentoring
  • Mentoring Across Borders mentoring methodology: the methodology is a mentoring process valid in Europe, focused on social inclusion and that can favour the approach of disadvantaged younger people to the world of employment, improve the level of their key competencies and skills through the involvement of older expert volunteers in an intergenerational mentoring relationship.

AGE involvement

AGE organized two information and training days targeted to inform interested AGE members about the MAB project and prepare them to become mentoring hubs and participate in the project pilot activities. AGE also lead advocacy and sustainability activities.
