FOCAGG project enhances accessibility and autonomy in old age

FOCAGG logoAGE Catalan member, FOCAGG, is running the “MyHome” project, a social project to improve independent living by upgrading the personal accessibility and mobility at home and in our nearest environment.

MyHome offers not only a financial aid, but also a technical and legal assistance and other services in the field of housing upgrade to people with limited resources (e.g. no access to public services or cannot afford housing upgrades). For this purpose, FOCAGG also works hand in hand with associations of older people and non-for-profit associations.

Some examples of the provided services:

  • Replacing a bathtub with a shower unit
  • Technical aids (handless, handrails or other assistive devices)
  • Stair lift chairs and platforms installation
