EU public consultation on rail passenger rights

The European Commission has opened a public consultation from 9 February until 5 May on a regulation adopted in 2007 which relates to rail passengers’ rights and obligations.

The Commission is seeking the views of citizens as well as public and private stakeholders on a range of deficiencies identified by an assessment of the implementation of that regulation published by the Commission in July 2012. The objective is to bring forward a legislative proposal informed by this consultation before the end of the year.

AGE will take part in this consultation thanks to the involvement of its experts.
