If making accessible cities is important for the inclusion of persons with disabilities, it can benefit a much larger part of the population, in particular with regards to the rapid ageing of the population in Europe. Promoting accessibility and mobility is one of the major objectives of AGE Platform Europe’s campaign in favour of age-friendly environments in Europe; this is why we have been involved, this year again, in the Access City Award as members of the jury both at national and European levels.

We would like to thank the following AGE’s experts for their involvement in national juries:

Bulgaria : Nadezhda Todorovska
Czech Rep. : Oldrich Stanek
Germany: Heidrun Mollenkopf
Poland: Ewa Kominev
Portugal: Paulo Tomás Neves
Slovakia: Lubica Galinova
United Kingdom: Peter Rayner
