AGE co-signed a press release on Information to patients:
“Direct-to-consumer communication by pharmaceutical companies? Europeans deserve better”
AGE together with 28 other public health related organisations has published a press release regarding the draft directive on information to patient. This press release underlines the uncertainty of the current decision making process: the new appointed Commissioner declared at his hearing in January that he wanted to reassess the proposal, the Council has stopped its work on this proposal, whereas the legislative process is ongoing at the European Parliament. It puts emphasis on the fact that the current proposal has no added value for citizens and makes some proposals for this hot issue.
