AGE Platform Europe is a European network of around 165 organisations of and for people aged 50+ which aims to voice and promote the interests of the 150 million senior citizens in the European Union and to raise awareness on the issues that concern them most.
AGE Platform Europe is based on 7 main policy areas:
* Anti-discrimination * Employment and Active Ageing * Social Inclusion * Social Protection * Health * Accessibility * Solidarity between Generations.
In response to the call for commitments launched by the European Commission in the framework of the European Partnership on Active and Healthy Ageing, AGE Platform Europe is setting up a virtual network to bring together all stakeholders interested in promoting age-friendly environments across the EU and facilitate their involvement in the World Health Organisation Global Network of Age-Friendly Cities and Communities.
