Women’s International Day – OWN Europe reminds the key role of older women in a COVID-19 world

OWN-EUROPE_logo The Older Women’s Network, Europe (OWN Europe) has seized the momentum of the International Women’s Day 2021 to highlight the important contribution older women make in our societies and the crucial role they play in achieving an equal future in a COVID-19 world. OWN Europe calls for this role to be acknowledged and supported.

“Older women are amongst those most affected by the current pandemic. Yet they seldom have a say in policies that concern them most”, OWN states in a press release. “It is essential that their voice is heard in the ongoing debates on how to rebuild better post-COVID-19 societies”.

On the International Day, the European network has also launched its new website and Twitter account.
