The 2021 Ageing Report: Economic and Budgetary Projections for the EU Member States

2021-Ageing-Report-May2021-cover The report presents projections showing the long-term economic and budgetary impact of ageing populations. Those projections show in which countries, when, and to what extent ageing pressures will accelerate, as the baby-boom generation retires, and as the EU population is expected to live longer in the future.

Based on new population projections provided by Eurostat, this report seeks to provide reliable and comparable information to help highlight the immediate and future policy challenges for EU countries.
