Alternativa 50+ publishes positions on caregivers and social housing in the Czech Republic

Alternativa report Apr2016Both positions have been issued as part of the project ‘Through improvement of anti-discriminatory and social legislation towards benefits for vulnerable women’ supported by the Open Society Fund Prague from the Let’s Give (Wo)men a Chance programme.

Alternative 50+‘s position of caregivers analyses the concept and implementation of social policy in the Czech Republic in relation to the care for older people, looking more particularly at the issues of gender, employment and job market, care and social benefits, care and pension system. The publication provides a description of those issues in the national context, followed by proposals for solutions.

This report on social housing in the Czech Republic examines the impact of implementation of affordable and social housing on women threatened by poverty, focusing on different female population groups facing a higher risk of poverty (including women aged over 50).
