AGE welcomes new EC President’s commitment to appoint a Commissioner for Fundamental Rights and Equality

In a press release sent on 15 July 2014, AGE Platform Europe congratulates the newly elected President of the European Commission, Jean-Paul Juncker, and welcomes in particular his commitment to appoint a Commissioner in charge of the application of the Charter of Fundamental Rights, which we believe will help the EU to adopt a more coherent and coordinated approach to address the situation of fundamental rights in all EU member states.
