AGE France contributes to European Semester 2016

French members of AGE Platform Europe’s network, have compiled their comments on the National Reform Programme which France is developing in the context of the European Semester.

Associations of pensioners and of older workers, together with organisations assisting older people, present their perception and approach to economic and social issues. Various areas have been examined: economic growth, employment, pensions and social protection, poverty, “Silver economy”, rural areas, healthcare and independent living, housing and transport, intergenerational relationship and social cohesion, non discrimination and older people’s rights.
