Social Inclusion and Dignity in Old Age: Promoting participatory approaches to use reference budgets

This document is the final guide of the project Social Inclusion and Dignity in Old Age, in which three AGE members were involved: BAGSO, OKRA trefpunt 55+ and Zivot 90. It showcases a variety of strategies, educational approaches and practices that highlight the particular needs of older vulnerable people.

The guide sets out the strategic context of the EU’s interest in developing reference budgets across the EU linked to their wider 2020 strategy. It also gives practical examples of how the project  partners from 7 member states have involved older people in contributing to the development of reference budget methodology and addressing issues of poverty, debt and income maximisation.

The appendix at the end of the guide gives links to the individual reports of these activities.
