Ageing Report 2018 – demographic and economic projections for 2016-2070

AgeingReport2018-cover This report, based on demographic projections carried out by Eurostat, looks at the long-run economic and fiscal implications of Europe’s ageing population. It calculates the costs (and benefits when it comes to increased employment of older people) of ageing in the long term for all EU member states, based on the current legislation and some predictions in terms of growth, employment, demography etc. The domains of public expenditure covered are education, health, pensions, long-term care and unemployment.
