Activating and Guiding the Engagement of Seniors through Social Media
This paper is the final report of the project 'Activating and Guiding the Engagement of Seniors through Social Media (AGES 2.0) which aims to determine how new technologies, particularly the Internet and social networks, can help foster communication and social inclusion of older people, including vulnerable seniors in need of care, and to evaluate the effects on their health and well-being.
Research was carried out with 240 older people in Italy (Marche Region) and the UK (South West England) but demonstrated that findings are generalisable beyond national contexts
