Register to the event on ‘Strengthening the Rights of Older Persons in Europe: Which Tools?’

With the support of AGE Platform Europe, HelpAge International, EURAG and ZDUS, MEP Ivo Vajgl and MEP Tanja Fajon are organising on the 3rd of December an event on ‘Strengthening the Rights of Older Persons in Europe: Which Tools?’. The event will take take place at the European Parliament from 10.00 to 12.30, room PHS P5B 001, and will focus on the rights of older persons and the main issues related to ageing

The event aims to present: (1) policies related to the rights of older persons, on whether or not there should be a dispersed approach to the issue – i.e. including it in several policies; or a centralized one, potentially under a UN convention) and (2) examples of good practice in active citizenship, social inclusion, anti-discrimination, and social protection of the elderly on the EU- and national level.
