The services of the European Commission are currently preparing a European Strategic Transport Technology Plan (STTP). This is a joint initiative of the Directorate-Generals for Mobility and Transport, Research and Innovation, Information Society and Media, and Joint Research Centre. The STTP will address the entire innovation chain, from basic research to market uptake and facilitate coordination of European and national public and private efforts.
As part of the process, the European Commission held hearings and invited AGE Platform Europe to participate to the one focused on economic and social issues.
