eScouts – Intergenerational Learning Circle For Community Service
The European Project ‘eScouts’ aims at implementing intergeneration learning community services. It is composed of 8 European partners from 6 European country.
The objective of the project is to develop an innovative intergenerational learning exchange between elderly and youth volunteers, centred on the development of the digital competences of the eldest and on the guidance to the youngest to better face their upcoming adult life challenges. This intergenerational experience will take place through a variety of local stakeholder organisations (LSO, e.g. public internet centres, youth and elderly associations, etc) with a view to produce a transversal impact over the communities they are serving.

- InterGenerationes: Connecting international youth work with intergenerational learning
InterGenerationes is a pilot project funded by the EU “Europe for Citizens Programme“, of which AGE German member BAGSO (Bundesarbeitsgemeinschaft der Seniorenorganisationen – German federation of older people’s organisations) is partner and which aims to open up the sector of international youth work to intergenerational learning, fostering cooperation between international youth work and senior citizen work.

- SEELERNETZ: SEniors in Europe LEaRn in NETworks
The EU-Project SEELERNETZ seeks to improve older people’s quality of life through learning.
The objective is to support life-long learning through social networks and show how it can lead to active participation of seniors in society, promote intergenerational solidarity and increase older people’s well-being.
The project includes three stages:
1- enquiring about seniors’living conditions and wishes to improve their daily life
2- debating the results and developing pilot projects in the 5 participating countries
3- developing a recommendation handbook and a EU-Model which will be issued after November 2010.
The Greek AGE member organisation 50plus Hellas participated in this project. The other project partners are: the University of Vienna (Austria), the Technical University of Gabrovo (Bulgaria), the Research Institute of Gerarogy FOGERA (Germany) and the Educational Institute IREA (Romania). The coordinator was SAT 3 (Austria).

- Memoro
The Memoro Project is a non profit online database dedicated to collecting and divulgating short recordings of spontaneous interviews with people born before 1940. An editorial staff identifies and authenticates the material uploaded by the volunteers involved in the project.
The Memoro Project was created by Memoro S.r.l. with the financial support of the Province of Cuneo (in the North of Italy). In exchange for visibility on the portal, we are seeking sponsors with a strong ethical code. Any profit will be devolved to charities and associations supporting the elderly and/or the children, creating a link between the generations.

- European Map of Intergenerational Learning (EMIL)
EMIL is an innovative project, funded by the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, that will provide a general overview of the role and status of Intergenerational Learning that is already taking place or developing across Europe. EMIL will use the existing expertise of partner organisations already working in the field to create a learning network for organisations involved in intergenerational programmes across Europe. Representing numerous European organisations and a range of partnerships from over 25 European countries, EMIL will collectively have the ability to influence the intergenerational practice debate.
EMIL has designed a web based ‘Intergenerational Learning Co-Laboratory’ that will become a tool for further collection, analysis and dissemination of content that can support IL policy initiatives and practice. This European-based website aims to support further development in the field of Intergenerational Learning by providing a space for storing important information, support collaboration between interested stakeholders and create a forum for public debate.

- Intergen : Intergenerational Knowledge Exchange Project
The European Blind Union (EBU) is running a two-year intergenerational knowledge exchange project with five other European partner organisations based in Italy, Germany and Turkey.
Practice workshops with junior and senior visually impaired participants and professional trainers were held by each partner organisation between April and June 2009. Young participants shared their enthusiasm for new technologies with their senior peers while senior participants passed on their essential daily skills. A workshop model is currently being developed in a gradual and interactive manner, based on input from all participants. The resulting model of knowledge exchange will be tested in a final workshop and will be disseminated through training and rehabilitation centres, youth organisations and old people’s homes.

The Center of Lifelong Learning in Prague represents a new model of an intergenerational, non-vocational education for all ages.It is bringing together programs that have succesfully existed for more than 15-20 years as independent educational projects and offering new ways of activation as well..It is a source of mental, physical and social activity for thousands of its students in order to increase the quality of their lives.
- EU project e-VITA
The EU project e-VITA www.evitaproject.eu aims at collecting (from elderly people) stories and testimonies of life before the EU was established, transforming these into serious games for the new generation. It facilitates knowledge-transfer mechanisms which integrate Game Based Learning [GBL] with intergenerational learning concepts.
The e-VITA project is co-funded by the Education and Culture DG under the Lifelong Learning Programme, KA 3
- Lire et Faire Lire
This programme seeks to foster reading among children at primary schools, in kindergarden, libraries or leisure centers and favour dialogue between generations.
Once or twice a week, volunteers aged 50+ are invited to take part in reading sessions where small gourps of children can enjoy reading and discover literature.
