Country Reports

Country Reports are summaries of the socio-economic situation of EU Member States as part of the European Semester. These reports are drafted by the European Commission and published in February. They form the basis upon which the Commission drafts Country-Specific Recommendations. The current Juncker Commission aims to lower the number of recommendations, therefore the Country Reports have become more important in highlighting ‘low-priority’ issues with socio-economic governance in EU countries.
