An alternative for the future: Silver Economy for cities and regions

EU_Regions_and_Cities_OpenDays_logoEurope is ageing. Today’s responsibility is to find sustainable solutions that lead to opportunities for economic growth and jobs. This workshop on Silver Economy for cities and regions will take place as part of the Open Days of the Committee of the Regions. It will feature four inspiring examples of how a Silver Economy can help regions and cities to better match the needs of their ageing population while supporting local businesses and solution providers.

The event will be the opportunity to discuss the complementarity between these examples and the initiatives at EU level. It will be followed by a networking session to bring together potential partners around issues related to the Silver Economy.

AGE Secretary-General, Anne-Sophie Parent, will be moderating the workshop, which is co-organised by AGE Platform Europe as part of the SEED project setting up the first EU Silver Economy Award.

Tanslation will be available in English, French and Spanish
