AGE facilitated the active involvement of its membership across Europe in the drafting of the National Strategy Reports on Pensions and the peer review process the European Commission has organized on the basis of these Reports.

On the basis of a questionnaire -drafted by the AGE Social Protection Expert Group- AGE members were given the possibility to comment on key issues on pensions for older people at national level.

These were forwarded to the Commission and were circulated among the members of the Social Protection Committee, who were involved in the peer review exercise in Brussels on 14 and 15 September 2005.
