AGE call addressed to José Manuel Barroso, President of the European Commission, asking to include all objectives of the social OMC on social inclusion, pensions and health and long-term care within European Platform against Poverty and Social Exclusion - December 2010
The Social OMC remains the most adequate EU policy-making method in the social field. It should be used to mainstream EU social inclusion and social protection objectives into the Europe 2020 implementation to ensure that all citizens will benefit from the generated growth and economic recovery, provide adequate social protection for all citizens and promote social integration of the most vulnerable groups.
