Following consultation of its members and non-discrimination experts, AGE has responded to the Fundamental Right’s Agency’s consultation on its draft annual work programme for 2010. In its response, AGE highlights its members’ commitment to continuing to enage an ongoing and open dialogue on fundamental rights and to feeding in their accumulated expertise and advice to FRA, through the Fundamental Rights Platform, at every available opportunity.

AGE welcomes the inclusion of age discrimination among the thematic areas of the Multi-Annual Framework and, in particular, the research project foreseen on multiple and intersectional discrimination on the grounds of gender, age and ethnicity in the EU Member States in the area of health. AGE also looks forward to participating in the two regional meetings which the Agency will host with civil society in 2010, and would welcome to assist the Agency in the organisation of its annual Diversity Day in 2010 .
