Towards a European Passenger Forum for a better urban mobility.
Based on the experience of the 7FP project Mediate, which established an End user Platform, gathering representatives of users facing problems when using public transports, AGE Platform Europe and EDF – the European Disability Forum made proposals to the European Commission (DG MOVE) regarding the Passenger Forum, the Action 4 of the European Commission Action Plan on Urban Mobility.
This joint proposition provides input in relation to how such a Forum could work (a single forum gathering European expertise on passenger needs), on which topic it could focus (a forum discussing and proposing legislative initiatives), what stakeholders could be involved, a wide and inclusive platform.
